BMW HiFi systems

The BMW 1 Series turns open roads into exciting concert venues. Subwoofers beneath the front seats form the basis of the exceptional sound. The HiFi loudspeaker system enhances this sound with ten speakers, the HiFi System Professional adds an additional high-end speaker system and surround function. Using the AUX port, you can connect external devices such as MP3 players to all HiFi systems. Three BMW radios, a CD changer and an MD player complete the entertainment options.

Climate control.

The option climate control system (standard in the 130i) creates a pleasant cabin temperature whatever the season. And for even more cabin comfort, the optional automatic climate control system with Automatic Air Recirculation includes microfilters, condensation and sunlight sensors and a fast-heating feature, to quickly create a comfortable cabin temperature and to keep it constant. The driver and front-seat passenger can select their preferred temperature individually.

Seats and seat comfort.

Combining outstanding materials with excellent craftsmanship: the standard seats for the driver and front passenger in BMW 1 Series offer manual seat height adjustment (electric seat adjustment is optional) and can be effortlessly adjusted to suit practically any seating position. And if you require sporting style, the optional sports seats provide optimum lateral support, thanks to highly contoured seat sides. Seat height, backrest angle, seat angle, forward/backward position and thigh support for driver and front passenger are all electrically adjustable, ensuring the sports seats deliver ideal individual support.

Steering wheels.

With its compact form (369 mm diameter) the optional sports leather steering wheel, comprising a shift level knob with chrome trim and handbrake level handle in leather, provides precise control and a comfortable grip. If desired, the steering wheel can also be fitted with multifunction controls which operate the radio, CD player and optional telephone, plus two programmable keys.

Interior trims and upholstery.

The sleek lines of the new door handles are in perfect keeping with the exterior shape of the BMW 1 Series. The upholstery is carefully crafted from the finest materials. The Pearlpoint option lends a particularly sporty feel. New interior trims, such as Cashmere Silver, Brushed Aluminium with accent line, and the Poplar Grain Grey and Black high-gloss (shown here) further emphasise the BMW 1 Series’ sporty credentials.
