Driving dynamics, suitable for everyday use, zero emissions: The electrive drive concept eDrive unites driving pleasure with the technology of the future. The basis is the BMW 1 Series Coupé whose conventional engine is replaced by eDrive which is made up of three parts: a compact electric synchronous motor on the rear axle with 125 kW (170 hp), 250 Nm and an impressive speed range. The liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery, developed by BMW, which not only provides neutral handling and everyday suitability but also space for four seats and a boot capacity of 200 litres. And the motor control unit that charges the battery to up to 125 kW during braking.
